Rescheduling? 

If you’re sick, your children are sick or I’m sick we will reschedule, no problems.  All I ask is that you give me as much notice as possible.  Preferably within 24 hours.

We are very fortunate with the weather in Perth.  Overcast and windy days make for some stunning moody images. However, rain as beautiful as it is, is not ideal.  If it is forecast to rain, I will be in touch and if needed we will reschedule.  

Session Times?

Outdoor sessions will be centred around 'golden hour'. This is the hour before the sunsets.  This is the most magical time to shoot and will result in the most flattering images.   The time will vary depending on the season. Starting times could be anywhere between 4:30-6:30pm. If this time is simply not possible please contact me so we can chat about alternative options. 

We have a lot more flexibility around indoor sessions.  These are normally scheduled anywhere between 10am - 2pm. 

The location is 100% your choice, however I am happy suggest some of my most loved locations depending on your desired ascetics and location.

Additional charges may apply if the location in not within 30km of Karrinyup 6018.    

What will happen at the session?

Please arrive on time or ten minutes early to your session.   We rely on the sun for outdoor photography and it does not wait for us.  

When I first arrive I will take some time to get to know you and your family.  It is important your little ones get to know me and understand what we are about to do.  I will give you a brief run down of the session and then we will begin. I try to make my sessions as fun and relaxed as possible and do my best to capture you authentically.

What should we wear?

I’m all about being your unique self.  When deciding what to wear please be true to yourself and wear something you love and feel comfortable in.  This is why I don't personally offer a client wardrobe, I want to celebrate individuality and don't want my clients all dressing the same.   However, I know family photos are an important and sometimes a one off event,  I understand you want to get it right. 

Think simplicity, comfort and complementing colours.  Don’t dress to match, everyone in denim and white shirts is not such a good look.  Steer clear of brand names, loud colours (neon) and pictures.  Peppa pig is adorable but not so much in photographs.  Consider textures, a mix of wools, cottons, lace, silk and corduroy can create depth and intimacy.  Long flowing dresses are a personal favourite and can complement a photograph beautifully.  Accessories and layers work well, beanies in winter and bare feet on the beach in summer.   

I know this may all sound a little overwhelming, especially if you have a large family to dress.  Please don’t let it be a stress to yourself.  Family photo session, should be fun and as stress free as possible.  

I have personally compiled a Pinterest board that you may want to look at as a guide.  This will be provided upon request at the time of booking. 

When will I expect my images?

Your photos will be delivered within 4-6 weeks of the photography session.  They will be delivered via an online digital gallery.  I'm more than happy to give recommendations and advice on printing, however no printed images are included in the package.
