I know a lot of you may struggle with the idea of stripping down in front of the camera for a photography session with your children and that’s ok, I get it because that is me, I’m shy. If on the other hand you have even the tiniest inkling that it is something you may like to do, then I say go for it. I think the female body post-birth oozes with beauty, it has a mystic quality to it. I admire women like Sarah who are confident and comfortable in her own skin.
This session was a dream, something I had been wanting to do for a while. There was plenty of chaos, with a two-year-old in the mix there always is. However, there was also so much love and tenderness and I think it shows in these images. I hope Sarah can look back on these one day and remember this all to special time in her life.
Motherhood – Perth Family Photographer
This session was run as part of a mentoring session with Laura from https://willowandwilde.net, Laura and I met almost a year ago at a photography workshop “Find your Wild” with Lauren Phillips https://www.loveherwildphoto.com and have stayed in contact ever since.
We were lucky enough to photograph the most gorgeous mother-daughter duo. Immediately you could see Julijana and Jaya had an undeniably strong bond. There is something special about motherhood sessions, I love capturing those raw authentic tiny moments of love. The way you kiss your child on the cheek or their tiny hand on your face, moments you will treasure in years to come.
I am offering mini motherhood photography sessions in one of four beautiful locations around the City beach, Trigg, Scarborough, and Gwelup area. If you would like some further information get in contact, these sessions are super affordable and won’t always be up for offer.
I first met Ashleigh and Luke when I photographed their maternity session a couple of months earlier. They were both so relaxed and easy too work with, second time around and I was just as happy.
The session was an absolute dream; I could have moved into their newborn bubble. It made me nostalgic for my own newborn days, when everything was a blur of sleep deprivation, feeding, washing, more feeding and plenty of cuddles.
To all my clients who are thinking of a newborn lifestyle session but feel like life is too hectic, your too tired or the house is a mess. Please don’t let life’s imperfections stand in your way, you will look back on these days and see nothing but the love you had for each other.
